SikaCem Fibres-12 is a mono-filament polypropylene micro-synthetic fibre. SikaCem Fibres-12 improves the resistance to plastic shrinkage cracking of concrete and thus reduces the risk of premature cracking and, depending on the dosage, can be used as an alternative to anti-cracking mesh (ACM).
- limitation of cracking and plastic shrinkage cracks,
- improving cohesion in the fresh state, by limiting the risks of segregation and bleeding
- increased impact resistance
Note: The fibres can be used as a substitute for the anti-cracking mesh, but do not have a structural role.
USES: Resistance to plastic shrinkage cracking:
- Slabs and paving
- Road elements (roadway, pavements, access ramps, etc.)
- Horizontal structures in general
Other applications:Concretes requiring high fresh cohesion (extruded, steeply sloping)
ADVANTAGES: Thanks to their fineness, SikaCem® Fibres-12 fibres disperse very easily and create a very high density fibre network, the main consequences of which are :
- limitation of cracking and plastic shrinkage cracks,
- improving cohesion in the fresh state, by limiting the risks of segregation and bleeding
- increased impact resistance
Note: The fibres can be used as a substitute for the anti-cracking mesh, but do not have a structural role.

However, it is recommended that tests be carried out to determine the optimum dosage.
