Single-component, high-expansion, multi-position polyurethane foam

Sika® Boom® is a one-component, high-expansion polyurethane product that is supplied ready to use. Polymerises to form a foam.

Multi-position foam. It can be applied in any position (360ºC).
High degree of expansion.
Easy application with the nozzle (adapter).

USES :

Sika® Boom® is used as a fixing, filling and insulation foam against noise, cold and draughts. As a sealant and insulator in joints around window and door frames, eyelets, holes for air conditioning systems, roller shutters.

Chemical basis :

Single-component polyurethane that hardens with relative humidity.

Conservation :

15 months from the date of manufacture.

Storage conditions :

In its original, well-sealed and intact packaging. The can should be stored in an upright position. Once opened, it can only be used within 4 weeks. In a dry place out of the sun, at temperatures between +10ºC and +23ºC.

Ambient temperature :

Optimum application temperature: +18 ºC to 25 ºC
Permissible application temperature: -10 ºC min. / +40ºC max.

Relative air humidity :

Between 30% and 95%.

Supporting temperature :

Minimum +5°C / Maximum +35°C

Curing time :

Fully cured after 12 hours (at +23 ºC/50% RH).

Cutting time :

It can be cut after 23 minutes (at +23 ºC/50% RH).

Dry to touch :

9 min. approx. (23ºC / 50% RH)

Consumption :

Consumption can be regulated by pressure and valve/adapter type.

Performance :

750 ml of aerosol is equivalent to 37 l (± 3 l)
