Elastic Waterproof Coating, Applied “in situ”:

A one-component liquid waterproofing based on water-based styrene-butadiene, solvent-free, that forms a continuous, elastic, waterproof, and resistant adhesive membrane.

• High elasticity: It can fill cracks.
• Can be immediately covered with any type of hard protection: wood, ceramic tiles, natural or artificial stone, plastic flooring, resin coating, etc.
• Good adhesion to concrete, mortar, plaster, gypsum boards, wood-derived panels: The adhesion is good even on a damp substrate.

The most common areas where it is used as a waterproofing solution are:

• Kitchens
• Bathrooms and showers
• Pool areas
• Common areas (stairs, access ramps, etc.)
• Areas with hygiene and sanitary requirements

Sikalastic 850W should not be left as a final layer but should be covered later. This coating can be done with, among others:

Consumption:

To achieve a waterproof coating resistant to cracking, a dry thickness of at least 1 mm must be applied. This corresponds to a consumption of 2.2 kg/m², which should be applied in 2 layers (1.1 kg/m² per layer). The actual consumption amount will depend on the roughness and porosity of the substrate.

To repair surfaces before application, a mortar such as Sika Seal 107 is suitable.
