Uses of Sika AnchorFix – 1

As a fast-curing adhesive for all types of materials:
  • Corrugated Steel Rounds
  • Threaded rods
  • Special bolts and fastening systems.

On the following surfaces:

  • Concrete
  • Solid or hollow bricks
  • Natural stone
  • Solid rock*.

* These substrates can vary considerably, particularly in terms of strength, composition and porosity. Therefore, for each application, the suitability of the Sika AnchorFix – 1 adhesive should be checked by first applying Sika AnchorFix – 1. Adhere to only one area of the sample. In particular, check for adhesion strength, stains and discolouration of the surface.

  • Mixing ratio:Component A : Component B = 10:1 by volume.

    Sika Anchorfix – 1 must be kept at a temperature between +5°C and +40°C during application.

Preparation of the Support

  • Concrete and mortar substrates must have a minimum strength. They do not have to be 28 days old.
  • The strength of the substrate (concrete, masonry, natural stone) must be checked.
  • Pull-out tests should be carried out if the strength of the substrate is unknown.
  • The surface of the borehole must be clean, dry, free of grease and oil, etc.
  • Poorly adhering particles should be removed from the drill holes.
  • Corrugated steel rounds and threaded rods must be cleaned of oil, grease or other substances or particles such as dirt, etc.

Mixture

  • Take the cartridge
Unscrew and remove the cover
Remove the red nozzle by cutting the plastic.
Screw on the mixing nozzle

When work is interrupted, the mixing nozzle may remain in the cartridge. If the resin has hardened in the nozzle when work is resumed, a new nozzle must be used.

Tool cleaning

Clean tools and application equipment with Sika Colma Cleaner immediately after use. Once cured, the product can only be removed by mechanical means.
